I heard that the new 30 man Offaly football panel has been picked. Anyone got the list.

Heard Pat is only having a 25 man panel....apparently 11 of them were getting dropped Saturday nite. Heard Colm Quinn & Trevor Phelan didn't even make the last 36...

Jason Kelly & Kieran flannery both from Shannonbridge are on it too!
Apparently Colm Quinn & Trevor phelan have both been axed, which is very surprising!

Seems very strange to have so few people on it so early. I would have thought that between seniors and under 21's you would look to keep a panel of about 45, cut back to 30 when the under 21's get eliminated.

Put it another way - if it's a panel of 25 with Flannery, Kelly, O'Connor, Byrne, Gorman, Casey and Bracken, that's only 18 from last year's panel??? That can't be right. Something gone wrong amidst the chinese whispers I suspect.

Last years panel did have a few passengers, but I couldn't easily whittle it down to 18.

Sounds like the rumour mill.

Does anybody have any further insight into Quinn's omission?
Is it that he couldn't commit to whatever winter training scheduled mapped out?
Or perhaps Pat Roe might be using him as a scarecrow to warn other player that there is no one undroppable from the panel?

He's in the gym a lot so he's committed for certain.

Possibly Pat Roe said that in all likelihood he was most likely to be used as an impact sub rather than as a strarter, and Colm wasn;t really interested on that basis.

Pure speculation on my part obviously.

Can anyone name the full panel as of yet?

Dont think Quinnie deserved to be dropped at this stage. Same for Phelan too.
Whats the backup plan for a right sided free taker? Anyone on the panel that can swing a few over with the left peg?
