McCormack & Regan Semi and Tipsters Round 15 Results

Post by Lone Shark »

Go on the Magpies!!! In three out of the four knockout games, the Clara game was the difference, with Rynagh's Biffo vs Untouchable, Fullback vs Ballymanabroad, and myself vs Bogman all split by that game and only that game. ManfromFerbane on the other hand can thank the fighting Brigid's lads, as his tie with The Rover was always going to be determined by whether or not Rhode covered the six point spread. It was never in doubt, and he went on to a 4-1 victory, with the other three all being decided 4-2. The end result is that between the two finals we have 3 Ferbane contenders, with only Rynagh's Biffo breaking up the hegemony as he looks to retain his McCormack Cup crown won last year (also over Ferbane opposition - an omen perhaps??)

ManfromFerbane just missed out on getting on the roll of honour last year when he lost the McCormack Cup final, so he has a chance to put that right when he meets fullback in this years Regan Cup decider, both looking to take over from Mighty pair o'Hands as holder of that crown.

MPOH also went for Shamrocks, so he falls a little further behind in race for the League Title, and Del's solitary point hasn't helped his cause. ManfromFerbane and True Red both put in solid displays, but with games running out, they'll probably need to find a draw somewhere to have a chance of sneaking the title.

This is so sad but I actually shouted "YES!" when I saw the results

After last years disappointment (which was compounded by the fact that I lost the tie by picking us against Tullamore in the U21 which I was playing on) this is a real boost to the supporters and all involved in the club.

Lets just hope I can nick the win and LS can make up for last years defeat and take the cup back to Ferbane! :D
