Wexford Hurler to Join Cross-Channel Soccer Giants?
“St. Martin's and Wexford Hurling stalwart Eoin Quigley is apparently the subject of interest from a leading British soccer outfit. Unconfirmed Scottish media reports believe the club in question to be Glasgow Celtic F.C. Quigley, a former League of Ireland footballer with Bohemians F.C, has been one of the Wexford Senior Hurling team’s star performers in recent times and would be a huge loss to his County if he were to be tempted to leave these shores to pursue a professional soccer career.”
