Tipster's Comp - Round 9 plus McCormack/Regan Cup Results

Post by Lone Shark »

And so the championship truly begins!!

The "Cut" has been made, and we now know who'll be competing for which trophies in this year's tipsters. The required score was 8, so anyone who got that or higher is eligible for the premier competition. The 16 players who made the 2nd Round of the Paddy McCormack Cup are:

The Untouchable
As Such Ger
Del
Bogman
Lone Shark
Fit for Junior
The Rat
Arbarg
Mighty Pair O'Hands
Bart
Tom
Mikey
GAAA head
Plain of the Herbs
Skippy
Sparklin

All others currently on the league table but not in the list above are now eligible for the Daithi Regan Cup. (Also Kinnittyman, who expressed an interest but didn't get tips in last week). The next time we have four or more fixtures, we'll have the second round of both competitions. The top eight in each grouping will qualify for the quarter finals, and it'll be straight knockout from there.

Updated League Standings here - on a great weekend for Pullough GAA, Mighty Pair o' Hands keeps the good news coming by springing to the top of the league table. The Daithi Regan Cup holder now becomes the front runner to be the first Uibhfhaili.com tipster to win a second trophy ......

Nobody went down the card, though we had five different scores of 11 points out of a possible thirteen, from the Untouchable, As Such Ger, Bogman, Del and yours truly.

Daithi Regan is for everyone who has entered so far - so yes, you're still in for that one.

Fair point about last year's reigning champion - go on then. Rynagh's Biffo makes it 17 entrants vying for QF slots in the next main round.
