Dublin v Westmeath Relegation Playoff Tullamore Sat

Post by Bogman »

Tullamore Stadium is playing host to the Dublin V Westmeath Hurling Relegation Final at 2 o'clock on Saturday.

I'm glad we didn't qualify for this particular "final"!!!

Fair play, it seems from the off we are getting given games. We've done particularly well here, because this fixture screamed "Navan" to me. One up to the playing surface as well as the stand perhaps.

Has the format changed this year? Do they not play relegation "semi-finals" first? Like when we had to play Antrim last year.

I wouldnt mind seeing this game actually, both teams will be up for it after the game of water polo they had earlier in the championship!

No Relegation Semi-Finals!!

Post by Bogman »

They've changed the format this year so that there are no relegation "semi-finals". That's lucky for Offaly IMHO because with morale at an all-time low the team wouldn't be immune from a few shocks.

I reckon Dublin will win this re-match - Westmeath are missing their centre half back Darren McCormack who did his cruciate last weekend.
