Minor And Senior Finals

Perhaps Faithful fans and the Lone Shark contingent will be interested to note that on Sunday week Offaly will contest the Leinster senior and minor football championship finals in the same year for the first time since 1962.
Offaly played in both deciders in 1960, 1961 and 1962 but haven't achieved the same feat since. (I'm guessing here that the minor and senior finals were held together in the years in question). So isn't it nice to bridge a 44 year gap?
In '62, Offaly beat Dublin in the minor final but (should I mention this?) lost out to Dublin in the senior match, when going for a three-in-a-row of provincial titles.
