The draws for championship were completed last night
Senior football group 1 Ferbane Edenderry Durrow Rhode Ballycommon
Group 2 Tullamore Bracknagh clonbolugue shamrocks
3 teams qualify top team straight to semi
Groups look a bit one sided with 3 of the so called big 4 in group 1
Senior hurling
Group 1 Balinamere Tullamore Clareen Coolderry Birr
Group 2 KK shinrone Belmont Kinnity Rynaghs
These groups look more even with maybe group 2 been the more difficult one with Belmont been the 5th seed because of last yrs ranking they will be better this year you would imagine

Lopsided groups in both codes.
Group 1 in football is much tougher than 2 and thanks in part to a hare-brained decision not to seed the bottom 5 teams. Whose idea was that and why?
Group 2 in hurling is a group of death.

Looking at one large bookmaker, kk are 1/4, coolderry are next favourites at 5/1 and then ballinamere, rynaghs and birr at 16/1.
Ballinamere at 16/1 looks too good a price to turn down, how are coolderry at 5/1 also.

That seems to be corrected now (I had to go check because that sounded crazy).
Ballinamere 5/1 and Coolderry 16/1.
Ballinamere 5/1 sounds the play to me.
I think Duignan and Mitchell may be heading Stateside to earn a few bob hurling (perhaps more too), but their clubs should still be there when they return
