Well done to Ballinagar. Good luck to Clonbullogue and Tullamore. I think Tullamore will find it hard going in Aughrim v Tinahely. The Wicklow champions to win.

Portarlington were massive favourites against Timahely and lost.
Portarlington were down 4 from the county final, 3 had been flown in for the game from Australia/UAE and 1 more has now departed for South America.
To raise funds to fly the lads home, each member of the approx 30 man squad was told they must donate €100. 🙈🙈

Tullamore will beat Tinahely.
Clonbullogue face Garrycastle who stumbled over the Carlow intermediate champions Fenagh. If the Garrycastle powerhouse doesn’t improve, Clonbullogue will shock them.
Ballinagar have a big opportunity against Louth Junior Champions Wolfe Tones.

Just on my way into the Offaly Schools vs Meath Schools game, coming from Clonbullogue vs Garrycastle. Really excellent standard for intermediate ball, very encouraging for Clonbullogue too. Garrycastle had the bit more depth, plus a black card for Jack McEvoy that looked like a yellow all day to me, was also a factor. But it's a good Garrycastle team, a side that will be 5th or 6th in the senior pecking order in Westmeath next year, and Clonbullogue were a match for them for 50 minutes before conceding the last five points of the game to lose 0-18 to 0-13.

Keith O'Neill stands out obviously, but Cian O'Neill, Ryan Dempsey, Harry Judge and McEvoy were very good as well.
