Don't watch Offaly, support Offaly!
This is the tagline of this website. I can only assume that everyone who posts on this forum (who physically can) goes to all or most Offaly matches. So I urge everyone here to urge their friends, family, aquaintances and even people you meet on the street to go and support Offaly Fottballers against Kildare and the hurlers against Wexford. We are the faithful county nut it must be said that the amount of Offaly fans travelling to ames is pathetic, even to games in Tullamore. There was a tiny crowd from Offaly in Croker 2 weeks ago, for a game that had huge importance to us. Not only was it a championship match, (which by the way should be incentive enough to go), it was against our fiercest rivals. Yes, we are a county with a small population, but that never stopped us from travelling in numbers in the past. It seems we are becoming a county of fairweather supporters all becouse we had a bit of sucess in the 90's. Well it's time to face up to the fact that we haven't won an All-Ireland in eight years, we haven't won a Provincial title in 9. Look, everyone here knows the facts but We need to get numbers to games to show our support. Our teams woun't win anything without bit of support.
