Offaly Minor Hurling management 2014

[puzzled]

Anyone else hear that Brian Whelehan has accepted the Managers job for 2014?
I hope this is true nothing against John Leahy and the work he has done over the last couple of years but Brian would be a good appointment,no-one is expecting us to win an All-Ireland but getting Brian to take on this job would be a sign that the county board are heading in the right direction with this team!

I think it would be good appointment, he has experience of senior club management and is the best hurler ever to don the green , white and gold.

Best of luck to him if he has. A thankless job really as it is difficult to see any success coming at this grade anytime soon. I don't want to sound so negative, but by the time our best players are 16 they are way behind our competitors, and so the minor management are playing catch up.

well we have one of our all time greats over them so, love to see Lusmaghs John Troy come on board
