im doin a project on Offaly GAA focusing mainly on the 60's onwards. im having a bit of trouble finding out info on the football teams of the 60's 70's and early 80's. just wondering if any one knows where info re these teams, matches they played, scorers in matches etc can be found. anything at all would be very helpful. thanks

to myers all the very best of luck with the project...useful sources you could use include a chapter in the book Offaly history and society, a chapter in that book done by Paul rouse(tullamore full forward). also a book a couple of years ago by paddy fleming, mainly a pictorial of offaly football since 1950. other than that consult the old newspapers. also there was a book brought out for centerary year detailing all the clubs. this may be useful for you if you can get your paws on it
