Camogie All-Stars

Congratulations to Sheila Sullivan on winning a senior camogie all-star tonight in the City West. In 2008 Offaly's Michaela Morkan won a Senior All-Star and since then numerous Offaly players have received nominations for All-Stars and Soaring Stars a true reflection on the advancement of Camogie in Offaly. Tonight saw 6 Offaly girls nominated for All-Stars and hopefully next year will be the same.

Congratulations to Sheila, who had a great year at corner-back having moved to the position earlier this year. Her reading of the game and her ability to anticipate a diagonal ball coming in from outfield and leave a corner-forward trailing in her wake was quite superb.

I though the Offaly girl who should have been awarded an All Star was Eleanor Clendennen who was consistently brilliant between the posts this year. Still, Offaly did well to get the one award they did.

Offaly have 5 All-Star nominations for 2013,great acheivement but lets hope we get at least one award again this year!
