This lad was just born to annoy people. He was on the Sunday Game a couple of weeks ago, doing 'analysis' and his contribution was laughable. RTE should put a warning up on screen before the show starts if he is to appear again.

His achievements as a footballer are second to none, i.e. he has none.

Hold on now. I seem to remember that he did the GAA community a service a while back by letting us know that Mick O'Dwyer was nothing but a bluffer.

Congrats to Pascal and Ciaran for their joint 'awards'!!! No doubt that was stewing and bothering him for a long time before he let fly.

The bit that amazes me is the sheer stupidity of this. I think, I think, I see what he's aiming for, even if he missed, badly. The lads currently on the Sunday Game are very bland, so don't be afraid to stir it up a bit and maybe I'll make a career out of this. And in fairness to him, sometimes he can be a lot more interesting to listen to than any of the "there'll only be a puck/kick of a ball in it" merchants that are out there.

However this is not the way to go about it. The GAA viewership is largely a quite well informed one. Above all, it's not like soccer where you can be really popular taking pot shots at another county. GAA people respect the achievements of players from other counties, and players like Paschal and in particular Ciarán, who soldiered on for years with little or no material reward by way of medals, are respected across the board. I don't enjoy watching Westmeath winning any game and I'll rarely want them to win a match, but I can still appreciate the talent and commitment of someone like Dessie Dolan, Derek Heavin, John Keane etc. I certainly won't look out for someone who'll take childish pot shots at them with no basis. This will make him enemies, and not just among the people who he mouths off about. If I was the producer of a programme, that kind of stuff would make me terrified to call him up - because God knows what he'll say.

Even taking the partisan Offaly stuff out of it, calling Noel O'Leary a "wannabe hard man" is ridiculous. Noel is a committed player who might get in trouble occasionally but I'd have him in an Offaly team in a heartbeat and you'd have to respect the way he plays, even if his self control sometimes let him down. And I don't know Aindriu McLochlainn from Adam, but reading that, I know one person that I think is probably close to the description in that tweet because of what was said, but he's not from Kildare.

If you want to be controversial and stir it up, be the one to call it when you think a team is not trying hard enough and that they're going to get shown up for that. Name the players that you feel let a team down on a given day, by all means. Better yet, be the one who calls out all these lazy analysts who continue to spout this garbage about how the team that wins is always the one who kick-passes the ball farthest and quickest. Better still, tell us all how much money you got for deserting your own club and transferring up to the Dublin championship. That one would really make the headlines.
