We are holding our Annual Road Puck on Monday week, May 7th, with proceedings getting underway at 12 noon from the Clubhouse.

Action will take place over a 3.5 mile course (going towards the cemetery, up the narrow road through newtown and down through the parish for anyone that knows the area), negotiating hills, valleys and a couple of sharp turns, aswell as a couple of straight stretches where you'll get to open up the shoulders. Traffic restrictions and stewarding will be in place along the course and refreshments will be provided afterwards.

Entry is €30 for a team of 3 and proceeds will go towards the purchase of a parish defibrillator so come along and support the cause if you're free on the day (and not hungover after the bank holiday festivities!). For more details or to enter your team, call the club on 086-1083693.

Just bumping this up. Action gets underway at 12 noon today and it's in aid of a good cause so come along if you can.

We had a bit of rain overnight but the sun is shining at the moment and the skies look clear enough. There's a little bit of a breeze which you'll have on your back in the second half so conditions are looking good.

Apart from a couple of showers along the way, it was a great day out. We raised almost €500 for a good cause (with donations still coming in) so it was well worth the effort.

We had competitors in their 50s, two young lads who are getting their communion on Saturday, three of the Rynaghs u21 crew and the winning team had one of the Coolderry lads that was on duty Paddys Day. We also had a couple of players from our neighbouring club Meelick/Eyrecourt and alot of our own adult and underage players so it was a real mixed bag and everyone had a good day out (and a few people got their hedges cut for free by lads looking for sliotars so everyone's happy!)
