U-12's.

Post by Barry »

What have Bord na nOg planned for them in 2012?

Are Go Games the way forward or the way backwards?..!

Who will be strongest clubs in this grade in 2012,in Football and Hurling?

Barry, under 12's are now under the control of the games and coaching administration. The format is go games again but I think Bord Na Nog are hoping to run a league as well with a final at the end of it.

now that, would be sesnible solution
I'm in favour of the go games to get more game time for all children
however, a lot of children need the competitive aspect too.

the GAA seems to want to have less competitive games at this age group, but soccer and rugby are going in the exact opposite direction
only the best...

Go games are fine up to a certain age, maybe 10, but u/12's should play normal rules with a competitive edge, i'm not a fan of go games up to 12's.We played go games in Kildare and it put us a step backwards as we had played competitive matches earlier in the year. They should have brought go games in for an age group born in a certian year and start from their i.e 2004 and then keep go games up to 12's.
