Brian Carroll - 100 not out
Brian Carroll will mark a significant milestone in Nenagh tomorrow in what will be the Coolderry lad’s 100th game for Offaly, between Championship and NHL.
Carroll made his NHL debut in far-off Slaughtneil, Co. Derry, almost nine years ago to the day, while still 18. Since then he has lined out in 37 Championship matches and 62 NHL games, and last week’s encounter with Dublin in Tullamore was his 99th.
16 other Offaly hurlers have made the ‘century’ for their county, of which only 5 have played 120 times or more. Carroll is still young enough to make inroads up along the all-time appearance chart, should he remain injury-free.
Well done Brian.

A very passionate Offalyman is Brian and rarely plays a game for the county where he doesn't knock over a couple of points even when not playing well. He needs to stand up on Sunday against Tipp and lead the forwards as Mulrooney, Egan and Kealey are going to be under pressure.
Re: Brian Carroll - 100 not out
it's a pity he didn't get to play with John Troy the Dooley's in their day would have made a good
forward on the 90's side his a good man to take a score.

I thought he was older than 27? Was he on the minor team that won Leinster in 2000?Carroll made his NHL debut in far-off Slaughtneil, Co. Derry, almost nine years ago to the day, while still 18.
And fair play to him. He gets a serious amount of unwarranted criticism in my opinion for someone who scores regularly and who has never let Offaly down.

You have to say well done to Brian Carrol in my opinion he's the most ''skillful and natural hurler'' we have at the minute..He's easy on dee eye, when in possession of the small ball!!

He was Baz, he was right half-forward and freetaker. He was Minor the following year too.
