With 4 to qualify from each group, group 1 looks to be a done deal with Tullamore, Coolderry, ’Rynagh’s & Clareen certain to qualify.

Birr, Kilcormac & Kinnitty look certain to qualify out of the other group, and there’ll be a battle between the other 3 for the remaining slot. The fixtures for the 3 matches involving Shinrone, Rahan & Belmont should be kept until August, to give each a chance against the other when they should be at their peak.

And the footy draw . . .

Well. One thing is for certain. We're about as far away from a state of Equilibrium as possible.

There's quite a strong argument that 4 of the top 5 teams in the County have ended up in Group 1.

Footbal group 1 will be interesting in any team can come out of it while when it gets to the knockout i can see some very onesided games hope to be wrong not going to do anything for football did the county board not see how onesided the draw was or could be after "seeding it" LOL
The hurling championship looks well balanced their shoud be good matches to look forward to.
looking at the draws what are the betting odds now?

Anyone know what way Junior 'C' will work? One group of 6. Could be lot of dead duck games if it's top 2 into final.

What is the qualification structure for the football? 2 from each group or 4?

From the County Board's site:- "Where there are two groups, four teams from each will advance to the quarter-finals, which is a change to last year." So 4 advance from each group in all grades from Senior through Junior B. That doesn't clarify how many advance in the Junior C football, though.
