Challenge match vs Tipp in Shinrone

I was hoping to make it to the second half of this on the way back from Thurles, but the parade in Thurles stopped me going through the town and next thing I knew I was taking a backwards way home and adding an extra half hour on to the trip so I didn't even get close.
Anyone with any reports? Premierview are giving the result as 4-27 to 0-16 in favour of Tipp, which is discouraging to say the least. Black day all round it appears.

Went to match.
Firstly thought it was ridiculous of Shinrone club to be charging €10 in to a practice match.
Crowd maybe 1000.
Maybe the score board was wrong but i thought it was 4-26 to 0-16.
close until half time. Tipp had about 6/7 guys that will start come championship.
Offaly were pretty poor and missed the 5 Railway cup lads alot. ger Oakley played well
and shane dooley looked dangerous at times.
Dooley score 0-09. All Tipps forward got 2-3pts a piece.

Offalys future, would you mind posting up the starting 15 for the Shinrone game please. If the horror show wasn't on in Thurles im pretty sure alot of us would have been there. With the Railway cup guys away it would be interesting to see the team that started.

No surprise we got hammered. The last 2 outings we had were Kerry and Carlow. Theres a world of difference in tackling a lad that cant even pick the ball up off the ground and tackling a Tipp fella that has the ball up into his hand and is gone at 100mph towards the goal. We played in division 2 of the league in 2005 and look what happened against Kilkenny. I've been known to make a few wild statements on this board but I'm speaking the truth when I say that Offaly getting out of Div 2 of the hurling league this year is the most imortant thing for Offaly in the last 10 years (and the next 10)! If we dont get out of it this year then Cork/Clare or Limerick will be battling it out with us for next years promotion. If we dont do it this year then I dont know where we will go from there. This is why I have been saying that we must line out the best possible team we have and thrash these weaker teams by as much as possible (scoring diff could come into play)
I would rather we get promoted this year and get beaten by Wexford in the championship. Beating Wexford in the championship will count for little if we are playing Roscommon and Kildare in the league next year.
The only good thing is that Wexford will have been operating in Division 2 this year as well.
