Re: Kilkennycats.com
I'd agree. Largely dominated by well informed and balanced (or as balanced as one could expect from a county forum) posters, the depth and detail of discussion on that board was more or less unmatched everywhere else. One thread in particular stood out for me - when they were discussing their all time best fifteen players in four categories - left or right handed and left or right hand on top when gripping the hurl. There was a good smattering of posters involved and every one of them seemed reasonably clued in about how hundreds of hurlers gripped the stick when playing. I just couldn't imagine that topic growing legs on any other forum.
Hopefully it'll return.

They probably just had nothing to give out about and thus nothing to talk about! That's why this forum will last so long!!

I can just picture it now - the owners of Kilkennycats.com praying for a players' strike and the ousting of Brian Cody so as to bring a flood of traffic in!TheManFromFerbane wrote:They probably just had nothing to give out about and thus nothing to talk about! Well a few of us might not have the years behind us to pick all time best 15 but could try current overall or offaly!Lone Shark wrote:I'd agree. It went before, but came back.
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1687
It had a lot of very fair minded posters, who were hurling lovers foremost and club and county followers afterwards. I would be more parochial minded myself
Was is that the forum owner is based outside of the country and didn't have the time to run it?
It got hacked a couple of times and lost its backups.
