Tipsters Round 5 AND MCCormack Cup Qualification

Right, we're off again this week, but just to confirm, this week's tips count for two competitions - the league, and the McCormack Cup. Veterans of this competition will know how it works by now, but for those who don't, here's the story. The league is great for Steady Eddies and no doubt there's a lot of pride to be taken from being the most consistent performer, but you've got to have real championship!
This week, the top 12 scores, plus ties, qualify for the Paddy McCormack Cup. Last year's winner (Hocker) also receives a bye into that stage - however he will still count as part of the top twelve if he reaches it, just in case it makes a difference. The bye is only invoked if he's outside automatic qualification (i.e. it doesn't become top 13 plus ties if Hocker finishes high up, is what I'm trying to say). All participants who have at least one week's entry up to that point become eligible for the Daithà Regan cup, our "Tier 2" competition. Then next week, with the final round of hurling games, the top eight in each competition qualify for the quarter finals and it will be knockout from there on whichever weeks we have sufficient fixtures to play them.
Anyone who has entered at any stage so far this year but misses this week will be eligible for Regan Cup, while anyone who enters this week will be eligible for both. Anyone who hasn't entered so far and doesn't enter this week either is out of the running, so get stuck in if ye haven't so far!
And the games ..... There's a lot of favourites this week, and indeed there might have been a case for making Gracefield favourites over Tubber as well, but I still think it's better that way rather than have everyone going the same side on matches - I don't think a lot of people would have gone for Ferbane, Shannonbridge or Rynaghs before, but they might now. It should split things up a bit anyway.
Fri 7.15pm Clara (F) vs Ballycumber (U)
Fri 7.15pm Erin Rovers (F) vs St Rynaghs (U)
Sat 7pm Tubber vs Gracefield
Sat 7pm Shamrocks (F) vs Edenderry (U)
Sun 2pm Tullamore (F) vs Shannonbridge (U)
Sun 2pm Rhode (F) vs Ferbane (U)
