I Know this wont be everybody's favourite team but i think this is the team and panel that could do well for Offaly if trained right, tactics are correct (crowding midfield which is the counties weakest area) and all players give full commitment.

1.P Kelly,
2.S Egan,
3.C Evans,
4.J Keane,
5.J Hurst
6.P McConway,
7.K Slattery
8.C McManus,
9.S Brady,
10.N Coughlan,
11.A McNamee,
12.T Coughlan,
13.T Deehan,
14.P Kelleghan,
15.A McNamee

Subs: 16.Bracken erin rovers,
17.Byrne Rhode,
18.Keneghan Ferbane
19.B Mooney Shamrocks,
20.Smyth Gracefield
21.L Mooney Shamrocks,
22.K Casey Brigids
23.G Heffernan Tullamore
24.PJ Ward Shamrocks
25.S Ryan Birr

Cathal Daly would be on that team at number 6 only he has retired.

Last year was not big on bright spots, but if I was to pick one, it was Sean Ryan. Assuming fitness, he has to start in 2008. Likewise we have very little at midfield, but Niall Smith is probably (a) our best prospect, and (b) as good as we have right now. Certainly I wouldn't be picking Alan McNamee or Scott Brady at midfield over him. I don't think either Mooney is on the panel either - Barry by choice and Leonard because he wasn't picked. (I agree that he should have been though)

I don't expect you'll see Thomas Coughlan, Stephen Egan or Paschal there either.

All that said, it's all there to be played for. It's not like many lads nailed their slots down last year.

Sorry lads i jus noticed that i forgot Ger Rafferty. Has to get the corner back slot ahead of James Keane. Rafferty always gives it his all and is more effective than Keane as a man marker if not skill wise.

Im aware theres some players ive listed that didnt get called in but i stated them because they are in my opinion the in the top 25/26 in the county.
