Is the Offaly V Killkenny (SH) & Offaly V Carlow (SF) a double header for Portlaoise on June 10th?

roll on the double header........can't wait for an auld day out in Portlaoise hopefully we will get one over on Carlow, but unfortunately I cant see that happening against the cats unless they have an absolutely crap team playing!

Yea €20 is good value, but from an older perspective I am not going to ask my wife and two young kids to stand on a terrace for over 3 hours and I am not sure about shelling €80 for us all.

Maybe a solo excursion.

put it to ya this way, 3 hours standing on a terrace/or sitting in a stand is for 20 odd quid, is way better than the hour or so for the hurling last week! €20 for a not very entertaining match!!

To be honest, this is just another typical GAA rip off. Small children have feck all hope of seeing a match from the terrace, particularly as there should be a good attendance (and the fact they'll be there 3 hours as you mentioned would stiffle the interest of even the most enthusiastic of kids). Having to pay full whack for a juvenille ticket is taking the piss.

At least the youngsters might get a bit of a kick/puckaround at half time..

I'm amazed there aren't family tickets available for this. I've long been convinced that the GAA should be doing everything possible to get as many kids into championship games as possible, and notwithstanding inevitable sell outs like All Ireland finals, any parents willing to travel to games and bring kids along with them, be they their own offspring or friends of same, should not be charged for the kids - they should be thanked.

I'd actually love to see a system (for non sell out games obviously) where anyone bringing along an U-14 to a game gets a discount off their own price. For an NHL match with €15 admission, it should be minus at least a fiver for every kid in tow. Two adults, €30. Two adults plus four kids - €10. Can't for the life of me understand why this isn't done.

LS there are family tickets €15 per adult and €3 per child.
But they are only for the terrace, so effectively there are no family tickets in this case.
