No..I haven't gone mad, and brought up this old debate, but just noticed that the Rule has been amended at Congress., the motion to alleviate any 'grey' areas.
A player goes off with a blood injury,and is replaced by a temporary sub. If that player comes back on he MUST replace the sub that came on for him.

I saw this all right. I believe it was actually Kildare who proposed the motion.

Go figure.
