Time to move on I think from pointing the finger.
The league is going to be tough, but look at Westmeath last year, they battled well in all the games and were unlucky to be relegated. Yes there are injuries, but we need to build a panel and start emptying the bench from 50 mins this year to allow players to learn the trade. On Sunday there was a fall off given the players that Mayo introduced but OY could have led by up to 6 points at ht also and there were some decent performances. Second half too many turnovers but they will learn from that. Only 2 backs, one midfielder and 3 forwards from last year starting so not all bad considering?

Look, Anton had some good days, some bang average days, and some awful days, similar to many footballers in Offaly in the last 20 years. Hopefully some of these lads that are getting their chance now will get some time to prove themselves and they are working hard from what I hear. Encouragement and support and hopefully some positive performances will allow us to retain Div 2 and a crack at Sam but similarly if we go down swinging (in a good way ), we can also have a good crack at the Tailteann.

All the best for 2026 to players, mgt, and the real fans (whatever that is defined as)..

Looks like the Weather is to get very cold after Sunday so the Carlow game could be the only match for a while .
At least it's drying up .
