Toxic in general, not just your last post,
"Conceding heavily all year", plain wrong, post up scores against during the league and Laois.
Westies 1-11, Antrim 2-05, Clare 2-10, Wicklow 0-10, Sligo 13, Limerick 10, Down the outlier at 4-12
Of course finish up was poor, but so was getting tanked last year by Wexico in Tullamore, Down murdered us in Tullamore, Laois have beaten us well. We went how many years without winning a game in Leinster.
As I said finish up was poor, and players phoned in against London, thats obvious but they've done that before.
Also said that there are issues to be sorted out, but youse boys nor me will have a role to play in that.

So if the problem is conceding heavily all year, well thats your perspective , take out the down game we conceded 76 points in 6 league games, (12.33 per game).
Put tailteann in and you are right.

We won two games in Leinster last year and very nearly a third, were in the hunt for promotion in the league and at least got out of our Tailteann group yet Murphy was axed so why should it be any different with Kelly who’s had a worse year in all three competitions.
Might as well throw in the O’Byrne Cup too where we lost to a 4th string Dublin side with our full strength team.

I must defend London from which in my books is harsh criticism
I was at Antrim Offaly game
And Antrim London game albeit In different weather .
But London performed alot better than we did
In February.
I think a lot people can't see the toxicity
Which is in this setup which is no good for
County ,player or management
That never ends well.
Basically we get ourselves into trouble
In the midfield we have no overlapping players forcing us to go backwards when
We get marked going forward
Counties have spotted this and know we are not giants so kick outs are also another issue
We have pace yet don't use it until the last game against Down .
Which was our best performance admittedly
In a dead rubber since we played Down away.
It's just my opinion.
Take care

Against Downs second team to be fair.
We conceded 19 goals in league and championship.
Was at the minor league final tonight. Great to see Rhode back winning again at underage.

Put tailteann in and you are right.
In 5 games in the championship and Tailteann cup we conceded 10-82 (22.4 per game)
That’s just not good enough let’s be honest.

Hey, lookit. You can prove anything you want with statistics. How much of the 10-82 came in the Leinster semi-final?

What's great about it though, great for rhode yes for offaly no because you need someone outside of rhode ,tullamore to win it would be great for the likes of clara of St.manchans because that means there getting better development and then you have 3 teams that are strong

Here is another stat - a relevant one.
We played 7 league games in Div 3 and won 2.
We played 5 championship games - 4 of them winnable and won 1.
That leaves us with 3 wins from 12 in games where the only game that could not be perceived as very winnable was Dublin in Leinster, where we got trounced - and at least 5-6 games where we were favourites.
That leaves a win ratio of 25%.
Under any metric, that is a very bad year and Steven Wallace and others were replaced very quickly with similar stats. There are genuine GAA people calling for managements head. There are genuine GAA people looking for them to get another year! What happens next will be most interesting.

Jimbob I agree we are at a crossroads
Loais winning today ( I backed them )
Might be the final nail in the coffin
What ever happens it must be sorted by start of the championship not waiting till
November in hopes of keeping the status Quo
Basically 7 months till the O'Byrne cup
Seems along way away.

Agree fully. Co board need to get business done straight away re consultation with stakeholders involved currently and give clarity to situation. Too much negative rumbling doing rounds that is undermining to status quo and current management.
If co board are sticking with status quo, they need to get whatever issues resolved asap and then make a statement of support that management in whatever form is staying with whatever changes adjustments, additions, subtractions etc.
If there is to be a change, they should make a statement to that effect on back of whatever decision is made and go about replacing as soon as possible so a prospective new management has a chance to look at Co championship games with view to selecting a panel.

Laois rebounding to knock out Kildare and make the semis is a damning indictment of the campaign that we had in the Tailteann Cup. Teams around us stringing results together and getting experience into their players.
That is not something that can be placed at the feet of DK even if the results this year were poor. We have continually produced poor displays in "secondary" competitions. Anyone looking from the outside would think that we have a misplaced sense of superiority around the whole thing, when the reality is that this is our championship and needs to be treated as such.

I don’t know how our footballers think we are too good for the Tailteann Cup.

Why would you say the players think they are too good for Tailteann Cup?
I certainly wouldnt have picked that up from any player I ever spoke to in recent years.... I'd even say the opposite and one player even told me this year that the TC was a priority for them....
