By all accounts wexford are in big trouble. Well bet last night. Missing a few lads for the year. Definitely a match that can be targeted for a win.

Who? Wexford or Dublin?

An away trip to ballinasloe for the diehards. Proper January hurling today, hard to read much into it.
It looked like James Mahon picked up a nasty injury, hopefully he makes a quick recovery.
We tried to play a short passing and running game which probably made sense in the conditions but broke down a good bit.
Conor Doyle, Ben Conneely and Dan Bourke were probably the pick of the bunch today. Ter Guinan, Ben Miller and Cathal King also put in good shifts.
Would still prefer to see Donal Shirley on the wing or midfield, just doesn't feel right at centre back for me.

Thought Dan Bourke was brilliant. Miller King and Doyle best of the rest.
Cahill and Ross i think will do well to make the 15 when it comes too it.
Would prefer to see Dan Ravenhill up the field.

There was 50 in at the start. Not sure if it has been brought down to 36 now or if they are all still in there

Use of possession and decision making is a big work on for Ross Ravenhill. He turned the ball over countless times in the first half.
Eoghan Cahill wouldn't make the first 15 if everyone was available but Killian Sampson (Osteitis Pubis) and Shane Rigney (Hamstring) have 2 very bad injuries by all accounts.

Liam Hoare could definitely push Mark Troy based on yesterday. Made some really good saves, but I thought his puckouts were really good also. Troy is very good as well all round, very good to have options there.
Didn’t realise Sampson was injured. A huge loss, never plays a below average game and can play anywhere in the middle third. Hopefully he makes a quick recovery. Same with Rigney, you’d imagine his game would translate well to inter-county. Good to see a lot of the younger lads playing well, I think Joe Troy said the average age of either the team or the squad was 21. Going to need a lot from Duignan and Mitchell if D Ravenhill is to play wing back. Not sure we have the scorers from play to replace the couple of scores he gets a game. I realise we have Screeney to come back, will be interesting to see how he has adjusted from last year.

Positive enough for 50 minutes or so but Jesus hitting in long (50:50) ball needs to change. It was coming out as quick as it went in. Galway played through the Hand throughout and always seemed to have an extra man.
Conor doyle started very well but faded out. But good day out all the same. Ben miller good too. Dan Burke got good reviews but he hit 3 bad enough wides and gave the ball away a bit. And I’m a big DB fan. Ross rav gave away a lot of ball too. Donal Shirley’s man got motm I think so not a great day for him.
But plenty of positives and galway did bring on a few big hitters too for the last 10 minutes.
Disappointed to hear of Killian Sampson and Rigney’s injuries as two huge players. Especially Sampson as his form was very good in the club championship.

So dissapointing to hear about Rigney he looked like a nailed on starter this year.
I think we have a really nice squad but kelly has some big calls to make on team selection.

Fierce hard luck on him. First 5 minutes of the first game ffs.
He looked in a lot of pain going off.
