Good for confidence and belief but this is a competition where all teams incl offaly are trying lads out, so wouldn't be getting carried away with winning this league.

This is a good strong group with strong management team and good forwards and has good record through underage. They will be close to mark in Leinster and will contest with strong Kildare, Meath and Dublin teams to win a Leinster this year. We have been poor enough at minor over last 3 years or so and this is strongest group we've had since 2020 / 2021 with another strong group of u16s in supporting cast. Hopefully they can do the business when championship swings into action in few weeks.

Entering the Leinster League was a huge success and gave this panel some competitive gametime against good opposition. So little over a week to go for these lads, lets hope the few knocks around the panel heal in time, like the look of our forward line. Think they'll cause any team problems.

Some great results over the last few months, great winning mentality going into championship. Anyone know if we have any injuries or are we good

They are all u17 so don't think names should be mentioned.
Say team announced tonight

Disappointing result today for Roger and team after such a great start. No point doing any sort of critical analysis - they bounced back last year after a disappointing opening game and let’s hope they do the same again.

Plenty of good footballers on the team.

It seems like a crazy game earlier against Dublin. Offaly went 2-0 up after barely a minute, Dublin soon responded with 4 goals of their own to leave the score 2-1 to 4-1.
At half time it was 2-3 to 5-5 and it ended up 3-7 to 5-10. Nobody scored after the 50th minute.

Mubarak Salami did the most damage for Dublin. He peppered the goal with shots, but unfortunately for us, didn't slice them wide. 2-2 he scored.

If he makes it to senior, we'll have Chilli Donnelly to mark him.

Poor today, full back line was very exposed.our midfield had a tough time, as did the half backs, Dublin played within themselves in the 2nd half, work was done in the first half for them, On to laois next, offaly will improve on today no doubt.

We’ve struggled badly at centre back in both games this week. First at the 20s game and the same yesterday. Both centre backs stood off their man and left the 11 totally free. The 11s in most teams are one of the best players more times than not. If the centre back is going to drop off then someone else HAS to pick up the 11. The 11 was man of the match in both games.
