Can't beat a good wind up every now and then
On a serious note does anybody know where the Offaly V Carlow hurling challenge is on tonight?

i was at the match against shamrocks and he didnt do that much.. hurled alright.. he didnt win that many frees though..Long John wrote:I saw Cordial in the first two rounds of the Championship. He's nowhere near the player he was. He did ok in the two games I saw him in. Against Kinnitty he picked up some loose but didnt threaten like he did in the past when he first hit the scene. Against Shamrocks he won a good few frees but that was more to do with silly fouls than him threatening. Think he may have got one point from play but wasnt controlling midfield.
It is good to see him back with the county. I'm sure he can get back to his former days standard. Best games I saw him hurl were Minor Leinster semi final against KIlkenny in Dr Cullen Park, outstanding midfield performance that day, and if memory serves me correct he scored 3 or 4 goals from play in an All Ireland Vocational schools final from corner forward. PLAYING FOR TIPPERAY AGAINST GALWAY. He had a stormer of a first half against Wexford in Nowlan park before Offaly faded badly in 2nd half.
Him and Browne to me are very justified in been given a chance. The others drafted in are a bit of a joke.
dont think tipperary ever bet galway when cordial was on the team.. although they did lost to them three years in a row from 2001 to 2003 and galway beat them in 99 aswell.. then in 2004 it was offaly that tipp beat in the final to win.. diggy was a great man to hit the net back then and im nearly sure he hit 2.1 against cork in a semi final from one of them years..
now long john i thinks thats a bit rash to say mulrooney will be a joke.. we need to be getting behind these young lads as lenisterman said and give them every chance to fulfill their full potential in the green white and gold shirt,, same can be said for quinlan aswell.. havent seen him hurl in a few years but he was a good hurling when i saw him hurl minor i think it was.. i do however feel there not county hurlers just yet they need a little bit more time but we cant be running these young lads down long john we need to get fully behind them as they are the next generation of offaly men..
