I agree with some of LSs points. There's no doubt that some of the guys on the forum here are pals and go to games together, but I don't think any of them are petty enough to 'gang-up' on others.
Although I enjoy many of OFs postings, you can't argue that they're not highly controversial at times. When such a post is made to the boards, it's pretty normal for most (or all) of the people responding here to disagree - that doesn't suggest a herd mentality. It just suggests that most of the time most people are not controversial.

Also, I think when somebody makes broad sweeping statements like:

There is a massive problem in the GAA at moment regarding skill levels and the quality of club hurling

and

the standard of hurling which was very poor like it is in most counties at present

they need to support these statements. I don't think it's unsual for people to question these opinions - it makes for good debate.

In fairness to OF, he put a strong prediction out there that Birr would beat Ballyhale and they did...but then, he also predicted KK would beat Birr in the County Final, and they didn't. Regardless of how many we get right and how many we get wrong (clearly illustrated by the League table!!!) nobody on this forum can accuse OF of sitting on the fence!

Anyway, well done to Birr. I do think this was an enormous win for them. To beat the reigning All-Ireland club champions in their own back yard cannot be judged as a normal days work. However, OF has made a good point about how 'great' a side Ballyhale are - they need to put more on the board to be called a great side.
