Good win yesterday i think the team is hurling very well special word to Mark Troy his turning into a top class keeper and brilliant save's again yesterday also fair dues to Ben Connelly who had a hard weekend he was top class yesterday also.

as for the under 20s and senior who plays and who doesn't most important thing is for offaly hurling is to stay in the leinster championship for 2026 we don't want to drop back down to the McDonagh cup and that will mean playing the under 20s well play them. now lets go and finish the job and beat Waterford .

Great depth in that squad. If we can hold onto them for a couple of years and add in 5 or 6 more from the next couple of years u20s we will be looking good.

I originally would have felt the same way.

But Troy has upped his game a level or 2 this season as is totally deserving to be #1 at the moment.

so you keep saying but Mark Troy has been brilliant the last two year's in goals and Johnny Kelly ain't going to drop him.
Liam is also a brilliant goalkeeper so it's great to have two great goalkeeper's. i don't know what you see wrong in Troy his been great since he played in a minor leinster final defeat to kilkenny going on to star for the offaly under 20s and now great for the senior's.

we don't have to many problems in the side at the moment with everyone hurling well and the Goalkeeper is certainly not a weak spot.

I think that one is obvious.

Troy is from outside Tullamore. Hoare is from outside Birr.

Been really impressed with Donal Shirley this year especially, he was wing back other years but centre back for Offaly all this year. For fitzgibbon he was midfield and made a good mark there. He has the height and athleticism so will kiely move to centre when back and we keep Spain and king midfield.

Isn’t it great to have these complaints, going to have some competition and fight for places. Team looks fairly settled and we have some injured lads to come back in and others from u20 to enter in a year or twos time.

Absolutely zero chance there’s a better U20 half back line in Ireland this year than Brecon Kavnagh, Donal Shirley and Ter Guinan.

I’m almost salivating here thinking about them in their last year U20 hurling for Offaly.

Strong possibility that’s the starting half back line for Offaly seniors in 2026.

Could Shirley end up playing midfield for the 20s? Who else is in the mix, Leigh Kavanagh, Furlong, Martin?
