As far as I am aware, he was medically not declared fit to play for Tubber vs Daingean in the football. They brought him on in the 2nd half although in a very limited capacity I believe.
Tubber would be the priority over Brosna Gaels, which is probably fair enough. Doesn't look like there was any chance of him featuring yesterday.
Tubber is obviously out on its own with regards to the parish rule and only play with Brosna Gaels as permission players. They can technically withdraw and become free agents to hurl for whoever they'd like. There's probably Shirley and 1/2 others that'd be a big help to Clara or whoever else if they went in with them. I don't believe Tubber have signalled any intent to do this at this point, only saying what is hypothetically possible.
Declared himself fit to play for 15mins with a wrist injury, how does that work , fair enough if a muscle injury but with a wrist injury your either good to go or not in my opnion.
Couldnt see tubber withdrawing because of one persons ego
They didn't bring him on in his usual midfield position from what I gather, which would speak to the wrist injury.
I think you're verging in to disparaging remarks about a young player now, and it's a bit inappropriate. The Gaels won the title, that should be the focus on the back of the game.

I’m sure it’ll be dressed up a multitude of ways but 4,000 people is some drop off from the 6,937 that turned up to St Brendan’s Park in 2023.
A 42% (if my maths are correct!) decrease is pretty substantial.

1. Match broadcast on TG4. People able to watch from the comfort of their homes for free.
2. Shite weather early in the day.
3. Objectively less intrigue for the casual, KK going for 3 in a row this year.
Not that surprising, with all that told.

And im sure thats all the players in brosna gaels were focused on no matter who they had at their disposal

One wonders if in taking TG4’s thirty pieces of silver, they’ve actually wound up losing more than they gained.
If you chose not to televise the game, you could’ve held it at 3 or 3:30, held a game before it and the weather wouldn’t have been as bad which would’ve boosted the attendance by a thousand or two.
It felt like a damp squib with the 1pm start and no curtain raiser. Being in the car on the way home by 2:30 doesn’t feel like a county final day at all.

Have to agree with you. Didn’t feel like a county final with the early start. Normally you go in, watch the first match, look through the programme at half-time and enjoy the build up to the final. All felt a bit rushed today

Congrats to KK on three in a row. A fantastic first half performance left Shinrone with too much to do. The 2020s is becoming the KK decade as they d really dominated at minor, u21 and adult level.
The next question is are they a very good Offaly team or can they go on and pick up one or two Leinster titles?

Forgive me if I’m wrong but when the final returned to Birr in 2023, I thought I remember Duignan announcing that it would alternate on an annual basis between Tullamore and Birr?
And to those saying that the co. Board took TG4’s money, I’d actually imagine they may have made more off of Clubber.
Jarlath Burns and the suits have been critical of county boards lately for refusing to have games shown on TG4 as they want to cash in on their streaming services.
I’d imagine Limerick Co. board was approached to show Na Piarsaigh/Doon today but declined.
Although they also had their premier intermediate final before, which is a valid excuse they could have given for not wanting to move to the early window.

To the best of recollection no such announcement was made. There was a lof of conjecture but nothing concrete was announced.
For me it’s simple.
In 2026:
A semi final double header in OCP
Final in SBP
Then alternate this arrangement year on year.

Losses to Birr (2), St Rynaghs (2), Coolderry and Tullamore.
Shinrone’s county final record moves to

Duignan said he’d bring it to Birr for one year of his 5 year term. And he did that.

Congratulations to KK worthy champions
Disappointing crowd
For a good game .
Shinrone point disallowed in the first half was. Legitimate.( I was behind the goal)
Imagine if that had been a deciding
Factor
Referee was poor enough
Mind you I think the quality of officialdom
In Offaly has been below standard
All year .
Good luck to KK in Leinster
