That's a 1 point handicap.

I'd expect Offaly to go off as 3 or 4 point favourites and closer to 1/2.
As expected, Offaly open at 4/5 and -1 on the handicap.

Really happy with the way things worked out for our Seniors and U20 players against Kerry.

I expect we will more than likely line out similar to the KK game. Would others be of the same opinion?

I’d say same starting team bar there’s an injury we’re not aware of.

I thought we might see Alex Kavnagh starting ahead of his brother

Agreed.
Plenty have been quick to criticise managements for use of players.
I think Johnny Kelly should be commended for yesterday.

Alex Kavanagh hurled well on his introduction and I wouldn't be surprised to see him starting.
The obvious ones to miss out would be his brother Leigh or Barry Egan.
I'd expect Egan will start for his size alone, flanked by one of the Kavanagh's and Screeney.

From the team that started against Dublin back in March, Offaly are without Dan Ravenhill.
Taaffe has also dropped to the subs, with Doyle and Leigh Kavanagh in.
Interestingly, Leigh or Alex didn't see any game time against Dublin and remained on the bench with Eoin Burke, Caelum Larkin and Eoin Bailey O'Brien coming on that day.
Marcas Dalton has also been added to the panel.

As always, Dublin's game is built upon athleticism and running from deep, sprinkled with the outstanding ability of the likes of O'Dulaing, Kenny and Purcell.
I count 6 or 7 changes from the Dublin team that we beat to the team which beat Galway last week.

When Offaly play well, it's usually built upon the back of the 3 Flying Arrows, Bourke, Rigney and Doyle. When they get motoring and run at a defence, they can't be stopped. ThIs opens up space inside for Screeney and that usually spells bad news for oppositions. Doyle has been anonymous since his return, hopefully he has come on for the game time. An early puckout win or score will do him the world of good.
If Offaly reach their potential and let their hurling do the talking, they should win.

The Dublin lads will never have faced an atmosphere like it before.

Caymon Flynn of Westmeath is referee.
He's a native of St Patricks of Wexford and is now a St Loman's Mullingar clubman.
Interestingly, he is a teacher in Colaiste Éanna in Dublin, who Cistercian College beat in a Leinster C Senior Schools Final in February.
He was also ref when the Offaly minors beat Laois in the 2022 Leinster minor final.

They don’t factor in the u16’ s so always difficult to say but I’d say 15k all in maybe 🤔

O’Connor park has 18k capacity - supposedly only 8000 last week. Hard to where the other 10k would have fitted.

8,000 paying customers PLUS all U16’s.

No, it was just under 5,000 paid in. It's harder to tell with U-16s so there was an element of guesswork about the 8,000 number, I understand.

Do you mean there was only 8000 in total at the KK game last week - 5000 adults and 3000 u16’s?????

I’d say in the region of 12-14000 all in last week. Both stand and terrace were practically full. Stand holds 7000 and terrace 8000.

Yeah, that's what I was told. Now there might have been more U-16s, as I said that was an estimate, but that's the number we were given in the press box anyway.

Do they expect people to believe there was only 8000 in total in O’Connor park last Wednesday. Stand was full (holds 7000) and terrace was practically full (supposed capacity 8000)
