What would be your suggestion to improve the football championship?.del wrote: ↑Sun Dec 14, 2025 12:44 am Great win for St Michael’s fully deserved against a fancied Wheery. Congrats to them.
It’s great for Offaly football to see Rhode back again winning and competing at underage. That u 20 team will back bone Rhode for the next ten yrs . The better players are probably their minors so will be few years before they come thru . Rhode need more teams coming thru and with there 14s and 16s in C football they mite not get too many from those groups. But Rhode will maximise the potential from this group and will still be very competitive at senior. It will take a few years but Rhode will still be well ahead of most senior teams in Offaly.
St Brigids will be delighted with the lads they had on the team 4 started and one more introduced so that bodes well for them in intermediate next year.
But the county board need a serious re think on this championship the format is chronic
Agree Rhode are back on the up and probably should of won the minor with abit of luck. I believe the under 14 and under 16 teams in Rhode this year will be playing in the A championship so that will be interesting to see. Also I don't think that Rhode team will be loosing many on the under 20 panel. I don't know if clonmore had anyone playing in it I would assume they had but I would think Rhode had 10/11 playing from the clubdel wrote: ↑Sun Dec 14, 2025 12:44 am Great win for St Michael’s fully deserved against a fancied Wheery.
