We could have a change of venue for the Dublin game .
I'm told the pitch has been damaged buy
Weedkiller or something.not sure what will happen but I thought I would let it be known
Thanks for that. Hadn’t heard anything about it.

Anyone know how long Ruairi Kelly is out for? Another big loss.

I wonder if they'll change it. There's a Minor hurling fixture there on Saturday-Adam Kinahan is refereeing- and there's no sign of a change to that.
Dublin wouldn't be too put out by a dodgy hurling surface. Did ye see the spot yer man had to take the penalty from on Saturday? There wasn't a blade of grass within three feet of him. Now on the other hand, if there was damage to the floor of the gym that would be a serious matter, and the venue for the gym session would be changed forthwith.

Considering what is supposed to have happened, with a disgruntled individual reputedly introducing a bit of glyphosate to the pitch a little under a month ago and how it's only starting to show now, one would imagine a very dry and warm week would only make it much, much worse.
I wouldn't expect Dublin to suddenly forfeit home advantage or anything, mind you. I'd say a switch to O'Toole Park is quite plausible - it's a long time since I've been there and it's fairly basic, but I'd say it would cater for the 700-1,000 people that might be likely to show up for this game.

O'Toole tends to be even more overused than Parnell Park and is rarely in good shape. Abbotstown would be preferable.

Never thought of Abbotstown - yeah, that makes more sense all right. That said, it's not really made for a crowd either, 200 people would go a long way towards filling that stand area.

Don't know about abbot'stown, think they'll lose out money wise as you can't charge in to that particular venue as far as I'm aware.

Dublin might prefer O'Toole Park anyway.

From being in Parnell Park for Offaly v Dublin and having watched Dublin vs Wexford on TV I have no doubt that Roundup was sprayed on the pitch.
With the coverage of spray the pitch got, in 6 days time it absolutely won’t be playable.

Yeah, they're putting out the story that there was a leaky pipe on a lawnmower and that it was oil damage, but there are other stories circulating of a disgruntled employee taking their anger out on the pitch a few weeks ago.
I don't know what other options they have in Dublin - Leinster Council mightn't be best pleased with foregoing anything from €5k to €10k in gate money to go to Abbotstown - it could well get moved out.

I’d be shocked if Dublin let it out of Dublin.
