I think it’s a bad knee injury and he’s out for the season.

Perhaps you're mixing CL up with someone else, Exile?

My understanding it’s a bad knee injury for Caelum Larkin - that’s who I was talking about.

Larkin has been training and is not out for the season. Adam screeney moved into match day squad, not extended panel.

What a buzz to see Screeney back. Can we retain it? There’s still a lot of quality and experience on that team.

3 goals very poor came from right wing back side , Brecon taking too much from the ball and get caught

Were the better team for some of that half apart from two poor goals first goal was fair enough

Overthinking it a little there I'd say, it was just individual errors. James Mahon misplaced a pass for the first one so Galway got possession when the Offaly back line was out of shape, and Andrew Hogan jumped in trying to make a play on a ball for the one before half-time when he needed to be able to see that he was too far back, and all he could do was allow the Galway man to win the ball and then stand him up and try to force him backwards.

If Larkin is fit to come back in, the full back line will have a very different look to it.

The two goals before half time changed the whole game and second half was easily managed by Galway.

Overall thought we were second best in a lot of areas, marking was poor and a Galway man in loads of spaces with no one around him multiple times.

On the positive note in 4-5 weeks time we should be in a much better place, lads will have more game time and first touch should be better. The extra matches should stand to us if we do reach the semi final, Kilkenny in Nowlan Park.

Disappointing to lose of course but I wouldn’t be worried about meeting Galway later on in the championship. Can’t win any game conceding 4 goals not to mention that 2 of them were errors from our side in the lead up. The pitch seemed so tight as well which didn’t suit our boys.

Offaly were the better team for a lot of the first half. Good to see Rigney and screeney back and if caoelum Larkin is on the way back, it would be a huge boost to the full back line

Offaly will hop off laois. Its just the fixture list will be a congested one as offaly will have an extra game to play during a very important time for the seniors.

I do feel we were the better side in the first half with exception of the goals

Thought we were physically stronger , where 1 minute came from after the lengthy discussion with the linesman was laughable

A fair shoulder got rewarded with a yellow , think Galway got away with some pulling and dragging

Ref wasn’t too bad overall

Will learn a lot more from that loss than a win.

Dan ravenhill went off hobbling any idea what the outcome of that was.
