From the team that lost to Kilkenny in an u20 quarter final 2 years ago, only Dan Bourke and Cathal King are still underage.
I count about 9 who have played for the Offaly seniors, 7 of whom are on the senior panel at the moment.
I'd estimate 6-7 of the Kilkenny team are involved with their current senior set-up (or were at some stage during the year), the likes of Tallis in goals, Rowe, Moylan, Shine, Drennan, Dunne, Clifford. None of them as of yet have established themselves in the starting side.

Just wondering could POTH help me out here.
Since the 1998 All Ireland Final our record in the 3 grades vs Kilkenny is:
Senior - P10 W0 D0 L10
U21/U20 - P? W1 D0 L?
Minor - P? W0 D0 L?
We beat kk about 8 year ago in a walsh cup match in birr

Yes these teams met a minor level in 2021 in nowlan park. Kilkenny had a comfortable 3.23 to 1.16 win.
Factor in the loss of Ravenill who is our probably 1 of the best players in this group and his size.
Kilkenny have been preparing a while now for this game knowing it was coming and some of their backroom team were sitting in OCP yesterday evening doing their homework.

They didn’t know who they were playing until this morning either though.

Sure let them do all the homework they want once the game starts that might never work
They must have had someone at the dublin game aswell
Ravenhill is a big loss but there's plenty of lads who will step up to the mark
This team as experienced 2 leinster finals and 2 all ireland finals minor and under 20 and majority of a minor team winning that under 20 leinster and played the all ireland final, came up against 4 great teams last year lost out to cork ,don't think we would have won but wouldn't have been bet by as much if the ref did his job
Last night's ref wasn't much better

No, I won't help you out. If the point you're trying to make is that Offaly have no hope, I certainly won't be doing your research for you.
These lads were born in 2004, 2005 and 2006. What went on before they were born is of no relevance here, any more than a Minor hammering from Kilkenny in 1968 mattered to the 1986-'89 Minors.
What does matter is that this team have beaten Dublin and Clare at Minor grade, beaten Galway, Dublin and Wexford at U20 level, and beaten St Kieran's College in Leinster Colleges.
Be a streak of misery, by all means. That's up to you. But I won't be helping you put a damper on things.

You’ve completely and totally misread my intentions.
I have a keen interest in GAA results and sequences. That’s it.
And as for putting a dampener on things….I literally hung up my Offaly flag this morning.
I won’t even attempt to discuss further as you have your mind made up.

Can someone give me the latest on Dan Ravenhill?
I'm assuming he will miss Kilkenny match. But is there any chance of him being back at some point for either u20s or Seniors?
I had hoped his injury wasn't serious, but maybe someone here knows more.

It's a pity he's out, he's a massive loss but the form book and other things are aligning a bit for us. We gave laois a better beaten really than kilkenny did, a few of our main players will have had more senior hurling than kilkenny, we've got a rhythm going.. you could look at kilkennys form and say they are tipping along nicely but they could be undercooked or else you could say they are pacing themselves. The game is in tullamore also which helps as these guys respond to the crowd too. I'm not sure the weather will be favourable but will wait and see. Gonna be a huge task and kilkenny are rightly favourites but here's hoping

Leo O’Connor said in his post match interview yesterday that Dan has a grade 3 hamstring tear and is out for the rest of the campaign.

Speaking of wins and losses v Kilkenny I still dont understand how we lost to them in the 2018 league
