DSK only had 15 togged out which makes it more harsh.
Not like Carrig to object :P

not directly the same issue but sort of related when Junior hurling was for the "best/worst of the rest" and then clubs start playing underage/way over age better players p*ssed off alot of the players not good enough for Senior or intermediate or senior B etc..I know it is down to winning at end of the day no matter what anyone says but I know many many hurlers (didnt play football much) who packed it in as Junior was being used to play younger better players who already had their own age group anyway...not sure if it change since my day but I doubt it..

A bit late but can Belmont win the championship if Oisin Kelly gets back ? Or are they just not good enough to beat st rynaghs or KK when it really matters

Really interesting question.

On the proviso that Kelly comes back to 100% I still think they are just a tad short.

I just feel their backline is lacking enough actual ball players (outside of Mark Egan) to produce a championship winning team. Particularly now the games are played in the height of Summer.

They still could do it but I would put them #3 at best outside of Banagher and K-K. Also think that Ballinamere and Shinrone would be tight games vs Belmont.

Did they miss their chance when they narrowly lost those 3 semi finals in row?? Time will tell.

He's still annoyed over carrig fielding when birr told them that they weren't allowed.

The U20 match is being replayed Monday evening in Carrig. DSK will have 5 or 6 lads back while Carrig & Riverstown/Crinkill will have a few back from holidays but are missing 2 through injury who played the first game.

'Tips Crowd' providing more members to the brilliant minor team than 90% of the other clubs in the county

Carrig & Riverstown/Crinkill 5-19
DSK 2-06.. a huge win for the CRC lads. They play Tullamore in the quarter final and I’m sure they will be quietly confident after a performance like that.

A lot will become clearer after this weekend.

I think particularly in Group 2. Defeats for Coolderry and Seir Kieran and it looks like Shinrone, Ballinamere and Belmont will be jockeying for positions in that group. A win for either though and it opens up the group. It’s not quite do or die for Coolderry but it is for Seir Kieran this weekend.

Group 1 looks likely to progress along expected lines with Rynaghs and K/K battling it out for top spot and the losers of their game in Round 5 joining Birr in the Quarter Finals.

Round 3 this weekend folks. 2 matches in OCP. 1 tonight and 1 tomorrow. And a double header in SBP tomorrow.

Kilcormac / Killoughey vs Kinnitty. Verdict: Kilcormac / Killoughey

St Rynaghs vs Clodiagh Gaels. Verdict: St Rynaghs

Coolderry vs Ballinamere. Verdict: Ballinamere

Seir Kieran vs Shinrone. Verdict: Shinrone
