St Patrick's dump Tullamore out of championship.
1-9 1-12
Tullamore were without Cillian Bourke and Edenderry were without the Charlie fella that played midfield for Offaly minors this year.

Edenderry bet Tullamore by 3 points tonight and deserved the win. Tullamore short a few still could have snatched it . Cillian Martin went off after ten mins of second half knocked the stuffing out of Tullamore
Good luck to Edenderry in the rest of the Championship.

Here’s the madness of this draw in all its glory. Shamrocks give a walkover today vs St Michael’s which is shocking in itself how shamrocks can’t field a team is not good at all.
But shamrocks get rewarded with passage straight to the quarter final after giving a walkover
Rewarding teams that lose matches and give walkovers is plan wrong by all means give teams a back door but don’t reward them .

What is the format for this competition? A player told me there was a B competition if they didn't progress in the A - is that correct?

That is as complicated a format as I've ever seen!

Would imagine both teams will feature a lot of the same players that were involved in the minor final. First year there was ever only 2 years between both grades at club level.

Rhode full value for their win and the scoreline flettered ferbane. I think ferbane only scored 1 point from play in the final 45 minutes. Dermot Crombie stroked over some great points, rhode were much more creative in attack, passing and handling was surer and slicker. Ferbane minor lads were game and battled well, but the older lads on the age were disappointing.

Rhode not going anywhere, been in both minor and 20s finals, so that will surely revitalise them.

Great win for St Michael’s fully deserved against a fancied Wheery. Congrats to them.
It’s great for Offaly football to see Rhode back again winning and competing at underage. That u 20 team will back bone Rhode for the next ten yrs . The better players are probably their minors so will be few years before they come thru . Rhode need more teams coming thru and with there 14s and 16s in C football they mite not get too many from those groups. But Rhode will maximise the potential from this group and will still be very competitive at senior. It will take a few years but Rhode will still be well ahead of most senior teams in Offaly.
St Brigids will be delighted with the lads they had on the team 4 started and one more introduced so that bodes well for them in intermediate next year.
But the county board need a serious re think on this championship the format is chronic
