From previous experiences, on big games, ticketmaster give out shitty seats sittin in the corner somewhere. The best bet is to book them thru your local GAA club i'd imagine.

Of course your club is the best place for most, but when your local club is in Nth Roscommon thats no use.

I got family tickets from Leinster Council for the Kildare and Wexford games that were pretty good, Lower Cusack Block 310.

Just wonder why we're now stuck in the corner. Dubs to thank I suppose.

Tickets

Post by The Biff »

I was drawing a blank looking for 1 adult + 1 child ticket on ticketmaster yesterday so I decided to call the Leinster Council. "Her indoors" told me they arrived in the post today and are for the Upper Davin section 720. That'll do me and Junior anyway and I have to say it was quite painless as the girl on the phone in Portlaoise was very efficient and no time wasting.

Planning to get there good and early for the minor match while the Dubs are still tanking up. I'm really looking forward to going to a packed-house game again.

Come on OFFALY

As opposed to your local amateur photography, croquet, road-bowling or farm machinery appreciation club

Rynaghs Biffo - you aren't as acquainted to turk's type of humour as some of the rest of us, not to mention his poetry.

So turk, if Offaly do manage to win on Sunday, can we commission you to mark the occasion with a new piece of appropriate verse? Go on, go on, go on. :)

Turk must already have rhyme in his head.
He needs to use the word "shaper" to rhyme with "paper".

With this assimilation of foreign games... do local soccer and rugby clubs get an allocation of tickets? :D

Ah now Tom, that was just the "Aprés Match" lads messing. It wasn't real.

Sure it wasn't? Nah! WAS IT?

There was no amusement at all in any such comment to be seen!

She wished Offaly luck at the weekend and I thanked her. A simple exchange between two internet contributors.

Tickets

Post by Loughers »

I got my tickets through the club and they're section 302. At least the Dubs in the Hill will be able to spit on us. I know I'm from a hurling area, but you shouldn't be able to get better tickets by queing, surely? I'd much prefer 705. At least you can see the whole pitch and it is the big ball. Birr got 100 tickets and there were only five left on Monday. There wasn't ten from there at the other 3 matches combined!!
