with respect to ballinamere id be thinking kk will give the all ireland club a good rattle?. looking at the draw obv the kilkenny champs away is the a big bump on the road but kk have some talented squad and they are a year older? opinions?

November and December hurling is a totally different ball game.

A slow corner back isn’t quite as exposed.

The ball doesn’t travel as far.

Free taking is crucial.

Just hard to know as of yet with K/K and Leinster or All Irelands.

There’s also the possibility Ballinamere win on Sunday. Which seems to be totally written off. Ballinamere will put up a decent score if decent conditions prevail. Which unfortunately is not forecast.

Ballinamere will do well to keep it within ten points.

Kilcormac/ Kill, first have to beat Ballinamere on Sunday. In 2022 they were fancied to win,, but Shinrone beat them..
The Offaly champions have to play the Carlow champions first, that will be a tough match. The winners then play the Kilkenny winners in Nowlan Park.
Nothing assured yet.

the prices on kk winning the all irleand are well skewed . 9/2 bar one 5/1 boyles. and a juicy 14/1 with pp.

Just a couple of observations ahead of tomorrow's game.

KK must surely have the youngest team ever to contest a senior final. Or at least the team with the highest percentage of youngsters. 8 of their starting team the last day out are under 21 years old.

The support for Ballinamere in the semi final was very muted. One would think with their team on the brink of making a first senior final in over a century that supporters would be fired up and roaring their team on. Hopefully they will bring a bit more passion to the occasion tomorrow because their team will need it

I would fancy crokes or na fianna to win leinster.
Ballygunner to win it out.

There's a fair disparity in prices, Boyles are 9/2 for the All-Ireland and PP are 9/2 just for Leinster.

I'll be honest, I'll be hugely behind whatever clubs get out of Offaly in all their grades and I've the world of time for Shane Hand and the players, who I think are going about things the right way. But the idea that they're any shorter than 9/2 to win Leinster when the path is one banana skin fixture tomorrow, another in Carlow, then taking on O'Loughlin Gaels IN KILKENNY, and then a Leinster final, seems daft to me. OLG lost the All-Ireland to a worldie point last year, and they've added Fionnán Mackessy into the mix as well. They're not unbeatable, but KK would be three point underdogs for a game like that in Nowlan Park.

If I was having a bet, 15/8 OLG is 100% what I'd be on.
Kevin Egan. Signed out of respect for players and all involved with Offaly.

Agree 100% with Kevin. No point looking too far ahead. Yes, KK are justified favourites tomorrow, but I expect Ballinamere will play with a lot more freedom in the final. Expectation seemed to weigh heavily on the team in the semi, but in fairness when the game was in the balance they kicked on in the final stages, registering the last 6 or 7 (?) scores to pull clear. They also have enough quality players to cause KK difficulties.
Still, speaking of quality, there is hardly a dip in quality anywhere on the KK team. And there is the difference. Go beyond the current county players and KK gave a big advantage imo. Conor Mahon looks like he would still offer a lot to the county team. I think ultimately this will make the difference, and I’d expect KK to run out 8-10 clear in the end.

screeney the saviour. serious performance from ballinamere. they can be proud of themselves. but kk showed serious resolve to win on a horrible day for hurling. well done both teams.

A fantastic game in the conditions. A testament to both teams.

You can tactically analyse the game until the cows come home but K/K won simply because they have the most prodigious talent this county has seen since Brian Whelahan and Ballinamere don’t.

If Adam Screeney was in a Ballinamere jersey today they would have won. The frightening this is he is only 19.

Well done to all the players today.

Also, attendance down 18% on last year. No surprises given the weather.
