Re: Offaly Senior Footballers 2025
Anyone hear any news on new panel. By all accounts they are back working / trialling / testing etc. Who is new in and who are the lads from last year that are no longer involved.
On management front, I have heard that Declan Kelly is the only Offaly native involved and that it is only Mickey Harte and the Sligo coach (Bree) that is involved in team selection. Can anyone confirm? If this is the case I would find it a bit bizarre. This would mean that last years manager Declan Kelly is now out-numbered by Harte and the coach (Bree) that he brought in. That'd be a massive step down for Kelly if this is the case - and essentially a demotion of sorts as it would mean he is gone from being the actual manager with his own selection team to a situation where he is 'joint manager' with none of his selection team there and where the only other selector involved is Mickey Harte's man.

Well rules are ment to be broken

Trials are allowed and training for trials allowed.
So you do the math .
The sooner the League is split into two before Xmas and after
Have it home ana away
Would make mores sense than every other
Half arsed ideas the gaa seem to come out with.
Take care

I’d be fearful going into 2025. Unless Harte can still work his magic, we’re heading for division 4.
If that’s the last we see of Carroll, Anton and Cunningham then they deserve all of our thanks. Three stalwarts for the county over the last decade who made some bleak days for Offaly slightly less bleak.

Wow
Without 3 starters, best midfielder forward and centre half
Must be big plans ahead for young lads

Anyword on the fixtures 7 weeks on Saturday is the kick off every county seems to have
The list now except for us
Or is Mickey Harte going to confuse the opposition by playing the game without them knowing. His secret weapon
Even London have there fixtures..

Not much seems to have changed from last year with regards to the manner in which veteran players are being dropped anyways.

Pretty normal way of letting lads off. Look how kerry did it, tipperary hurlers the same. They are big boys, they'll survive.
