Seir Kierans were missing 9 players from the team that started their first round against Shamrocks. Tells you all you need to know about Drumcullen and where they are when they cannot beat Clareens second team!
This.

S.Coughlan, J.Scully, T.Connors, S.Dooley, D.Guinan, and P.Murray who were all held back for senior and M.Connors, B.Connors and O.Guinan on holidays I believe.
Granted Dermot Mooney came back after missing the first game, though he would be used senior though.

Only s coughlan, p murray, s dooley and D guidance were named to start against coolderry today. They rest were subs. Don't know why they didn't play the 5 lads on Thursday night if they weren't starting today. They were named on the program. With the beating k/k are dishing out at senior level at the moment Nobody will get near them. See coolderry just beat clareen by 11 points in the senior

Heavy defeat again for Edenderry who now as I see it are in the relegation final regardless of the last group game am I correct in saying that ?

Correct yes. Seir Kieran & Drumcullen have 3 points so Edenderry can’t make that total.
And even if they get to 2 points Shamrocks who are already on 2 have them on the head to head.
I don’t see any way in which Edenderry don’t get relegated to be honest.
Unfortunately for them a lot of decent hurlers will only play football. Cian Farrell being the stand out example.

I would concur

Seir Kieran’s 3-19 Edenderry 1-14 : good clean entertaining game considering Edenderry were already condemned to the relegation final, 1-09 to 1-07 at half time,

I couldnt make this due to work. Good to see Edenderry were competitive at least. Who stood out for them? Hopefully can give the relegation final a good rattle.

Shane Cummins stand out player for Edenderry, Foran and Dunne also played very well. The change of goal keeper at half time was a strange choice, as the puck outs in the second half had no conviction, long aimless balls, in the first half the keeper was more accurate and had players getting on ball. SK played well but they will need huge effort if they are to reach a semi or final,

Shamrocks V Drumcullen is a big game in the grand scheme of things.
Drumcullen win and they advance straight to a semi final.
Shamrocks win or a draw and Seir Kieran top the group.
Loser of Ballinamere and Rynaghs in the other group will face into the relegation final.
Ballinamere can finish top or bottom of the group depending on this game.

St Rynaghs 1-19 Ballinamere 1-14- hard fought game for me Rynaghs were the better team, Ballinamere lucky not to have at least two players sent off, corner back and centre back should have seen red.
Rynaghs will have a big say in this championship yet, young Scully at corner forward played well, rigney at half back was on top.

Rynaghs go from staring down the barrel of a relegation final to a quarter final berth, while sending Ballinamere from a potential semi final place to relegation against Edenderry which they would expect to win.

So, relegation playoff will be JHC Champions of 2022 versus JHC Champions of 2023, and a repeat of 2022 JHC final.
Edenderry have lost a lot of players since that final for one reason or another, but imagine that 2022 victory will be enough to provide belief.

Couldn’t see how Ballinamere would go from beating Coolderry to losing to Edenderry in the space of a few weeks being honest.
