Who else have they playing Junior that could possibly go Senior B?

Not sure but the Junior management are worried they might lose a few. They are dead set on winning the junior A championship and want to keep that squad intact. That came straight from the mouth of the manager

I've seen a few Belmont matches this year and I think they'll take beating.

It'll be a good championship now n the knock outs.

Belmont or Brosna Gaels slight favorites I think with Kilcormac and Clodiagh Gaels to have a say.

In fairness both Junior championships produce some very entertaining games. Sometimes nearly better than the senior games. Always an open championships with plenty of teams capable of winning

They've been keeping it tight, in fairness, giving decent game time to as many as possible. Alex Kavanagh is just the 19th to play Senior A, they've used 20 different players in Senior B, and further 20 in Junior A (up to round 4, I don't have last weekend's Junior A lineout to hand). They still have Senior B options in Alan Spain, Cathal Kilmartin, Shane Guinan and James Kilmartin (three of whom came on against Lusmagh) before they dip into Junior A resources.

Both quarter finals were played on Friday evening.
Ballyskenach/Killavilla bet Kinnitty by 3-12 to 2-11
Kk bet Clodiagh Gaels by 4-14 to 0-19
They join Brosna Gaels & Belmont in the semi finals

It’s not a shock to me. I had a feeling it would be a close game. Carrig & Riverstown had some decent hurlers on that team.

Semi final fixtures

Belmont vs Ballyskenach/Killavilla
Brosna Gaels vs Kk

Verdict : Belmont & Kk to progress to the final

2 11 to 1-9. Brosna gaels bet kk in a tough encounter. Slevin did all the scoring for kk

Belmont 3-16
Ballyskenach/Killavilla 0-13

Brosna Gaels vs Belmont in the final. Will be a tough one to call. Both teams will feel they can win it. I think Belmont might just have too much and will get over the line

Belmont vs Brosna Gaels this Sunday at 1.45pm in O Connor park before the senior final. Should be a great day of hurling. This game potentially could be a better game than the senior final. Junior hurling can throw up some crackers.

Belmont won by 1 point. 1-13 to 2-9. Very tough , tight contest.

Well Done Belmont. Worthy winners.

Would it be fair to say a few lads playing Junior are a loss to their senior setup? Certainly very useful subs to have.

Its nice tio win the junior but was it a factor in the slip with the seniors?

I don’t think there’s too many that could have contributed.
David Kenny was outstanding but hasn’t got the legs anymore.
Ronan Flynn was lively but wouldn’t have got onto the senior side.
Mark Cahill hurled senior in the past few years but hasn’t pushed on and wouldn’t have been near it.
Aside from that, I don’t think there was any other standouts.

Brosna Gaels had a starter on each of the sides in Senior final, with Tom Spain and Chris McDonald both lining out at corner back.

Does anyone know the breakdown of players between Doon/Tubber/Pullough/Ballycumber?
Belmont had 3 from Shannonbridge and was probably even enough after that between Ferbane and Belmont.
