Have a look at the photograph of Shane Dooley on the back page of this week's Offaly Independent which was taken against Kilkenny a few years ago. He's filled out and bulked up enormously since then.
Couldn't agree with you more he has developed enormously physically. Also take a look at the duvet cover of a jersey he was wearing. Thank God Offaly have copped on and started to wear the tighter fitting jersies that make them look that bit more strong and intimidating.

I thought the exact same when I saw that photo myself. Ridiculous when you look back on it but Offaly GAA weren't the only guilty culprits (although they were one of the slowest to eventually change).
Have a look at the rugby kit worn on the day Ireland beat France in Paris in 2000, O'Driscoll looks like he's 14 years old and robbed the jersey out of his fathers closet. The Premiership also went through a good 15 years of 'loose' jerseys. Simpler times!

That's two point's threw away, i can't for the life of me understand why joe dooley plays
kevin brady at centre forward. it was the same against dublin brady was played out of the
game took him off.

for a man who played as a forward and won allireland's looking at joe on saturday on the line
he looked like someone that hadn't a clue what to do. as for playing brian carroll as a third
midfielder didn't work out carroll played well got four good points, but he was just hitting the ball into where he should have been with two galway men waiting for the ball.

shane dooley was off his game abit today as for joe bergin hurl well again and looks hungry
for the ball got some lovely point's. limerick is a must win game now and its up to joe dooley to pick the right team and to play them in there right place's. just looking at the offaly management team of dooley, brendan kelly, and pat mcloughney they hadn't a clue what to do when the change's had to be made, they brought dylan hayden on for oakley in the half back line where it should have being hayden into the forward's.
as the man of the match from a offaly view point derek morkan has been the fine of the year.

I have to agree with Leinsterman, two points threw away. I thought it was a very poor performance in the first half that cost us the game. All through the game they had to work a lot harder than Galway to get scores but some poor decision making and a poor free taking performance from Shane Dooley cost us the game.

The turning point was the Galway goal, we were holding our own in the game and Shane had a 65 that he did not connect properly with and dropped short. Galway cleared and got a soft goal. Four point swing straight away. He has two other long range frees that either missed or dropped short. Disappointing considering how dependable he usually is.

There was a lot of aimless balls hit into the forward line and poor ground pulling that only went to a Galway player when the player had time to lift the ball and find a colleague.

As for the manager - he just stood there and let them play - no words of encouragement or a quiet word to a player try some thing different etc. I dont see much of Brian Cody but I am sure he just doesnt stand quietly on the side line all the time.

Anyway enough said. Big game on Sunday and Limerick are a bogey team - full strength or not
