I meant Donal Franks transferred to Birr, my apologies hymacpilot. But thats still five really good hurlers ye have lost over the years, fair play to ye if ye win ye're way back up to senior.

I thought Brendan Murphy had a great game, also franks and riordan were good as well. They were too strong for Ballinamere and they should gone on and win it out.

Didn't get a chance to post since the game but a belated congrats to ‘Skenagh and welcome back to the senior ranks.
The had top performances from Aidan Franks, Derek Middleton and Brendan Murphy on the day while John Dooley acted as a great focal point for the attack. Outside of that they had solid performances all around the field while substitute Barry Keeshan really steadied the corner back slot when introduced.
Birr missed some scoreable chances in the second half that may have swung the game but given the inclement weather forwards could be forgiven for having their radar slightly off. However, given the hunger that was obvious in their performance, it would have been an injustice for ‘Skenagh to be beaten.
Also well done to Shinrone for having the pitch in such super condition and on the work they’ve done on their grounds.
Well done also to Killurin who have reached the dizzy heights on Intermediate hurling, a great achievement for a club so young. Well done also to Belmont who finally broke their Junior B Final hoodoo in a fine game against Coolderry on a pristine pitch in Lusmagh.
Roll on the 8th November or whatever date it is and we’ll all get behind Birr again and hope they Offaly hurling proud.
