If you make it known that the name gets to you, it will only encourage every gobshite from Westmeath, Laois etc to keep using it, more convinced of their hilarity.
Remember Kerryman jokes were en vogue a few years ago. A big reason why nobody bothers with them is because Kerry people never seem riled by it.
To be honest, when you're introduced to someone and their first response on hearing where you're from is something like: "it must be Aw-fully bad", "so you're a Biffo" then you know you're not dealing with a Mensa candidate.
