I just marvelled at the feeling to be at a game where there was a decent crowd and the Offaly section were a significant majority. The hurlers haven't had support like that in years and the crowd really got things going during the game. People leave early for all sorts of reasons, some have fairly legitimate ones regarding beating traffic, gettting back to pick up kids, longer trips back than a spin to Tullamore etc. Don't judge them all the same way.
I'd say both teams appreciated the support on Sunday, it'd be good to see more again out for the football the next day. Offaly support has fallen off dramatically in recent years and days like Sunday are to be welcomed, support wise.
There's a big day out in Croke Park in a few weeks, it'd be brillant to have a big Offaly crowd there to get behind them. Likewise for the hurling play-offs.
