ok, so I am coming back with an idea based on a previous topic of this thread. I would love to see a dual-club championship.
I think the format would be normal rules for a game, but with four quarters instead of two halves to account for wind/conditions.
Each game is played with 2 quarters of football and 2 of hurling. (might need to go F/H/H/F on a windy day)
A toss decides which is played first.
Normal amount of subs so you can't just swap out an entire team each quarter.
Scoring system is per current rules (but may need to be addressed if football rules change) (Also, I have a feeling that it is easier to run up a big score in hurling against a weaker hurling team, than it is in footbal so we'll keep an open mind here)
It would be pretty cool to see it at senior and maybe minor level too.
Maybe have an A and a B competition to encourage more clubs to participate.
Could be staged as a blitz type competition and run over a few weeks.
Is anyone aware of this type of competition already happening elsewhere?
