Are the fixtures confirmed for rhr Fitz semis. I see that UL are playing NUIG but can’t see venues times etc.
Wednesday 4th Feb 2026
Dcu vs Mary I in dcu at 6pm
University of limerick vs university of Galway in UL at 8pm.
Are these games on any of the pay tv channels, clubber etc?

Higher Education GAA youtube will have at least one. But there could be a Sigerson game that night either.
UL often do their own ones though, and the games last Wednesday were free to air from them. Just follow the link on their social media.

Could be without our captain for the year if rumours are to be believed?
Would be a sickening blow but hurling is secondary in this case

Health comes before hurling.

Johnny Kelly doubling down on Ross Ravenhill. Not only is he named to start at 12 again but he’s also the captain this weekend.

I can understand why Kelly likes him, but I imagine come the harder ground then maybe one of the younger, more natural forwards will replace him. Given the lads on in the injured list, this is definitely the strongest panel we’ve had in years.
I hope Troy hasn’t left. He’s a brilliant keeper but there’s tough competition there. Is that not what we need as a county? Especially given his position, you’re only one bad game by the starter away from being right back in there.

Looks like Troy still on the panel, the original team announcement graphic put up on social media just left Mark, Ailbhe Watkins and Dara Maher off the extended panel but has since been updated.

Makes no sense having Dan Ravenhill at wing back and Ross Ravenhill at wing forward. Both are fish out of water in them spots in my opinion. That simple swap would improve the whole shape of the team.

To be fair to Ross he’s a really honest lad and will give you everything. Brings a bit of physicality to the team aswell. A game in February on a saturated pitch is ready made for him. Like, there’s no way we’re getting away with 15 Brecon Kavanaghs this time of the year.
Having said that, do I expect him to start championship Round 1? No chance. And management see it aswell with his removal from our back line.

This is exactly it. And the point about moving him to forwards leaves it completely open for Guinan, Rigney, Sampson, hopefully Mitchell although looks unlikely, to slot right in there and elevate the team.
Hopefully another positive performance and we can stick with them throughout.
