What I would like it to be.... What it will be...Mullins O'Connor
Verney Verney
Oakley Cleary
Franks Franks
Brady Brady
Cleary Horan
Teehan Oakley
Murphy Murphy
B Whelahan Teehan
Carroll G Hannify
R Hannify R Hannify
G Hannify Molloy
Dooley Carroll
Bergin Bergin
Molloy Dooley/Murray
Any views??
Only hurler not on either team that i would have is Hayden, however he's more interested in livin it large! Heard he's in super form at wing back for Birr!
B Whelahan not been given a chance cos he's rated as too slow for intercounty hurlin... still our best midfielder at club level and always give 100%
Diggy is more than good enough but his antics off the field and his committment to trainin just wont cut it anymore.. mores the pity - a talent wasted!
I think Cleary would be better suited at centre back cos he might be nervous at full back... worked with kk and John Tennyson!

Cleary has had a lot of good games at full back, he just had a one off nightmare down in Limerick. While I've great time for Ger Oakley, Cleary is the future and we should persevere with him.
If I was picking right now, I'd be wary of the form of Franks in the full back line - he's a proven hurler but he's not playing well - and Brendan O'Meara's omission continues to baffle me. Full back line - Verney, Cleary, O'Meara.
Half back line, I like how Horan has done so far and I'd be loathe to move him, and personally I would move Rory Hanniffy back. A strong half back line is so crucial in today's game it's not funny, so I'd have Rory back there along with Ger Oakley. Ger is not exactly a classy player but he doesn't let much by him and never lets us down. Half back line Oakley, Horan, Hanniffy
The midfield partnership is actually playing reasonably well. I wouldn't change Murphy and Teehan.
The half forward line is a crucial source of possession, but it is also key to defend from this line. Bevans is scoring well and is a threat, while Gary Hanniffy has to play here. In between, I would go for an odd selection - Danny Hoctor. Aggressive, good fielder, just not there to score. Could be a good man to do something about the handball effect - where clearances come straight back as if you hit them into a handball alley. Bevans, Hoctor, Hanniffy.
Full forward line kind of picks itself a bit. Bergin has to be full forward, Molloy is a goal threat and he's not able to score once you bring him too far out, and even though Carroll is not playing well, you'd have to pick him.
